Dzieciństwo w mazurskiej naturze
 

Swoją pasję do natury i entuzjazm dla zjawisk naturalnych artystka wyniosła z dzieciństwa na największym polskim pojezierzu jakim są Mazury; spędziła je w latach 1979–1989 w nienaruszonej przez człowieka naturze. Dziś zapadłe wtedy w jej pamięć obrazy, zapachy i nastroje odnaleźć można w jej pracach, obok doświadczeń nabywanych podczas podróży badawczych do innych miejsc na świecie. Liczne mazurskie akweny otaczają rozległe kompleksy leśne będące pozostałościami prastarych puszcz, stąd też tamtejsze bogactwo flory i fauny, dzięki któremu region jest do dziś uznawany za raj do życia w naturze i z nią. I właśnie te lasy, ale też jeziora i mokradła były dla małej Angeliki źródłem nieustających odkryć.

Trojnarski już jako dziecko kształtowała swój obraz środowiska naturalnego – wychodząc na łono natury, kiedy tylko nadarzała się ku temu okazja i najchętniej z dala od wydeptanych ścieżek, obserwując kopce mrowisk niekiedy tak wysokie, że ją wtedy przewyższały, czy też pływając w granatowych jeziorach zawsze z uczuciem lekkiej trwogi na samą myśl o pijawkach i wodnych wirach.

Tam spędzała wiele godzin między innymi na zbieraniu skamieniałości wymarłych głowonogów, tzw. belemnitów, które przetrwały z zamierzchłych czasów i częściowo wystawały z ziemi. Te szkielety dawnych morskich mięczaków (Cephalopoda) wielkości ludzkiego palca, potocznie nazywane „piorunami” (także „strzałkami piorunowymi”), to pozostałości z czasów, w których na skutek topnienia lodowców powstało Pojezierze Mazurskie z ponad 3 000 zbiornikami wodnymi. Pierwotnie musiało ono mieć bezpośredni dostęp do morza, gdyż głowonogi występowały wyłącznie wzdłuż wybrzeży morskich. Nie będąc w posiadaniu całej tej wiedzy, Trojnarski czuje w sobie ogromną fascynację tymi reliktami z przeszłości, które z kolei mieszają się z przypadkowymi obserwacjami i wspomnieniami związanymi ze spędzanymi nad jeziorem popołudniami, z suchymi łąkami, które w oczach dziecka zdają się być bezgraniczne, i zapachami, które w upalne dni lub po burzy utrzymują się nad nimi. Niektóre zapachy pozostaną na zawsze w jej pamięci, by po latach stać się ważnym czynnikiem kształtującym twórczość artystyczną z naturą w roli głównej.

 

Artystyczna eksploracja zjawisk natury
 

Podstawę prac Angeliki J. Trojnarskiej stanowią intensywne obserwacje zjawisk naturalnych i procesów fizycznych. Artystka skupia swoją uwagę na huraganach, zorzach polarnych, błyskawicach czy też burzach oraz bada, jak bardzo natura rozwija swoje moce. Z reguły same te moce są niewidoczne – to, co widać, to ślady po nich, czyli ich skutki. Angelika J. Trojnarski daje tym niematerialnym procesom artystyczny wyraz. Chmury popędzane wiatrem, płynące strumienie wody, pojawiające się na niebie błyskawice albo światło promieni słonecznych – wszystko to, to obrazy naturalnie płynących energii.

Nieustającym źródłem fascynacji artystki są zjawiska świetlne będące konsekwencją procesów elektromagnetycznych; nimi zajmuje się najbardziej, studiując fenomeny elektryczności w atmosferze oraz interesując się szczególnie osiągnięciami badawczymi chorwackiego naukowca Nikoli Tesli. Energia, napięcie i emocjonalność światła tworzą na jej obrazach rodzaj „naładowanej” relacji (Fiat Lux, 2018/2019), dzięki której Angelika J. Trojnarski wydobywa niemal fenomenalną siłę – zorze polarne trafiają na błyskawice i ogień, tworząc wir z oślepiających biało-fioletowych promieni padających z niemal odczuwalną mocą na ziemię. Z kolei obraz Petrichor (2019) przedstawia potężną letnią burzę, której moc artystka podkreśliła szrafami, towarzyszące jej oberwanie chmury z efektami świetlnymi oraz promienie słoneczne w połączeniu z fioletowymi wyładowaniami atmosferycznymi. Tytuł obrazu nawiązuje do zapachu po letnim deszczu powstającym w momencie, gdy krople deszczu spadają na gorącą, bardzo suchą ziemię, i jednocześnie ewokuje nastrój, który autorce obrazu przypomina dzieciństwo i nam wszystkim jest bardzo dobrze znany. Niestety w ostatnich latach jesteśmy coraz częściej konfrontowani ze zjawiskami naturalnymi, które są nam zupełnie obce.
