Salzgitter Thiede
They are surrounded by thousands of prisoners who were employed in the neighbouring arms industry facilities from the Salzgitter agglomeration. In its suburbs, mainly including smaller or bigger villages, such as Thiede and labourer housing estates, there are thousands more graves of forced labourers and prisoners of war, deprived of rights vested in them under conventions, who worked on farms and in small facilities or workshops.
