On the plot a stone stele was erected, with a stylised eagle with a crown, above which there is an inscription in Polish:

[TO FALLEN

On the backside, there is a cross with an inscription in Polish above it:

[BLESSED

After the end of the war, a hospital of the Allied Forces operated in Höxter for several years. It also treated civilians, including e.g. Polish residents of DP camps in the city and the surrounding area, who were engaged in the creation of the described plot.
The tombstones were made of artificial stone and unusually joined into one row. Each stone commemorates two people, with names and data carved on both sides.
