Żółtowski, Józef

Żółtowski, Józef (Joseph von Zoltowski), 1874-78 member of the Reichstag of the German Empire. *22.5.1847 Niechanowo in the district of Gniezno, †16.4.1889 Breslau: a lord of the manor. After passing his A-levels at the French grammar school in Berlin he studied law at the universities in Bonn and Berlin. In 1870 he became a Doctor of Law in Berlin. After serving as an assistant lawyer in the district court in Poznan he devoted himself to farming activities on his estate at Ujazd near Grätz/Grodzisk Wielkopolski. In January 1874 and January 1877 he was elected as a member of the Polish parliamentary group in the German Reichstag for the constituency of Kosten-Buk/Kościan-Buk with majorities of 71.91% and 74.35% respectively.
