Sas Jaworski, Julian
Sas Jaworski, Julian (Julian Jaworski Sas, Julian Jaworski-Sas, Julian Sas-Jaworski, Julian Franz Johann von Saß-Jaworski, Julian von Sass-Jaworski), 1897/98, 1907-12 member of the Reichstag of the German Empire, 1908-18 member of the 2nd Chamber of the Prussian Landtag. *21.05.1862 Lippinken/Lipinki in the district of Schwetz/Świecie, †11.01.1930, lord of the manor. He was the son of the estate owner and member of the 1st Chamber of the Prussian Landtag, Johann Sas Jaworski (Johann von Saß-Jaworski, 1789-1865). After attending the Archiepiscopal grammar school Collegium Marianum in Pelplin he passed his A-levels at the grammar school in Culm/Chełmno. He spent a year of practical training in farming in Western Prussia and Saxony. Between 1882 and 1888 he studied farming and national economics at the University of Berlin and the Farming Academy in Halle. In 1888 he took over the family estate at Lippinken. Between 1888 and 1906 he was the deputy chair of the Schwetz Farmers Union,and head of the Raiffeisen-Dahrlehnskassenvereins in Jeschewo/Jeżewo. In 1906 he gave up farming for health reasons. Henceforth he lived as a gentleman of independent means in Wilmersdorf. In March 1897 and in January 1907 he was elected as a member of the Polish parliamentary group in the German Reichstag for the constituency of Schwetz with majorities of 50.38% and 51.1% respectively. He served on the special committees for the finance system, the law on cheques, and the committee for infectious diseases. picture: 1907.
