Chełmicki, Julian Stanisław (Julian von Chelmicki), 1884-90 member of the Reichstag of the German Empire; 1884-89 member of the Poznan Provincial Landtag; 1889-93 member of the 2nd Chamber of the Prussian Landtag; member of the Gniezno district council. *18.4.1825 Gniezno, †31.5.1909 Zydowo/Żydowo. Medical doctor, Lord of the Manor. Son of the judge, Piotr Chełmicki (1792-1876). After completing his studies at the Maria-Magdalena grammar school in Poznan he studied medicine in Berlin and became a Doctor of Medicine in 1850. In 1877, after the death of his father, he took over the estate at Żydowo and directed the agricultural activities there. In October 1884 he was elected as a member of the Polish parliamentary group in the German Reichstag for the constituency of Gniezno-Wongrowitz with a majority of of 84.22% (in February 1887, 79.41%).
