Dzierzbicki, Antoni Eugeniusz, Polish painter, stage painter and commercial graphic artist, member of the “Munich School”. From 1909: student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. *1887, †15.6.1959 Warsaw. He initially studies in the Warsaw drawing class/Klasa Rysunkowa. On the 6.5.1909 he enrols in the drawing class at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, and studies under Gabriel von Hackl (1843-1926). 1911/12: in Paris. Subsequently, resident in Warsaw. 1915-39: a member of the Warsaw Society of the Friends of the Fine Arts/Towarzystwo Zachęty Sztuk Pięknych. 1919: 1st Prize in the Poster Competition of the White Cross. Dzierzbicki paints landscapes and flowers, mythological and religious scenes. 1913: he exhibits sketches for theatre sets at an exhibition presented by the Society of the Friends of the Fine Arts. In addition he designs glass windows, posters, ex libris and makes illustrations for books. His works can be found in the National Museum in Warsaw/Muzeum Narodowe w Warszawie
