He spends several years in Chicago: ca.1892, 1st Prize for his statue of Kościuszko in the city. Barącz is widely recognised in Lemberg for his plaster, marble, stone and terracotta busts and medallions of personalities from the world of art and culture. He decorates public buildings in Lemberg, and memorials and monuments for towns in Galicia. He makes terracotta studies of animals and human figures. Numerous busts and reliefs, terracotta and bronze sculptures of animals, and some initial sketches can be found in the National Museum in Cracow/Muzeum Narodowe w Krakowie. His busts and sculptures can also be found in and in front of public buildings and churches, as well as memorials in Lemberg/Lviv, a tombstone in the cemetery of San Miniato in Florence, an equestrian statue of King John III Sobieski in Danzig (originally in Lemberg), and the Kościuszko Memorial in Chicago.
